Purpose and Principle Responsibilities

Manage and lead the Electromech Quality Team with an emphasis on maintaining and advancing the AS9100 and FAA compliance activities, champion the Root Cause and Corrective Action process and continually drive to improve quality and satisfy the customer.   

Essential Duties

  • Responsibility for administering and maintaining Electromech’s AS 9100D (or current revision) quality system.
  • Leading and Managing the Quality Team, coaching and training the organization for quality improvements.
  • Utilize the RCCA process to continually drive improvement
  • Conducting management reviews of the quality system.
  • Performing and supplying internal audits and preparing Company for AS9100 audits, FAA audits and other third party audits.
  • Addressing non-conformities from previous internal and external audits; following up and closing pending preventive and corrective action requests.
  • Utilizing quality assurance and control methods and procedures to reduce and control quality failure costs.
  • Assist with identifying and implementing process improvements.
  • Insuring that Company systems and training are in place and are effective.
  • Build and develop a strong quality assurance team.
  • Insuring that documentation and design controls are appropriate for the Company.
  • Administering document control and configuration management system.
  • Overseeing established calibration and testing program.
  • Assisting the management team and provide QA support as necessary.
  • Commitment to performance and Company values.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or required.

Qualifications

  • BS in Engineering or a related technical field.
  • 5+ years’ experience in quality assurance management with a demonstrated successful track record of results.
  • Experience in a manufacturing or production environment in aviation quality assurance.
  • Proven team leadership skills; ability to effectively influence and motivate others.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. 
  • Ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization.
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills.
  • Demonstrated problem solving skills.
  • Demonstrated ability as a change agent.
